'Titanic' 25th anniversary: Remastered version of the film to release in cinemas in 2023

To mark the 25th anniversary of 'Titanic,' starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, a remastered version of the film will be released in cinemas on Valentine's Day next year. According to Deadline, the film will be distributed by Disney internationally beginning on February 10, 2023, and the remastered version will be available in cinemas in 3D 4K HDR and high-frame-rate.

As per the publication, Jon Landau, COO of Lightstorm Entertainment and filmmaker James Cameron's longtime producing partner, teased the news of the 'Titanic rerelease at Disney's CineEurope presentation in Barcelona, Spain, on Wednesday.

James Cameron's 'Titanic,' which was released in domestic movie theatres in 1997 and internationally a few months later, was a box office phenomenon. It went on to win 11 Academy Awards including Best Picture, Best Director, and more.

'Titanic' holds the number 3 spot at the global box office with a collection of $2.2 billion of which $1.542 billion is from overseas. Cameron’s 2009 film 'Avatar' is the top movie of all time worldwide.

In 2012, a 3D version of the 'Titanic' was released.

The film narrated the story of Jack and Rose, two passengers from different walks of life who meet on board the 'Titanic' and fall in love.
