Scary movies and shows to binge watch this Halloween season

It's Halloween, so be afraid! From killers to exorcisms, ghosts to zombies, horror films are a big part of cinema history, and what better than Halloween to watch some films which will scare the living daylights out of you. Add these films to your Halloween binge watch ritual this year.

Midnight Mass (2021) | Netflix
'Midnight Mass' on Netflix is a new miniseries created by Mike Flanagan, who has given us the creeps with films like 'The Haunting of Hill House', 'The Haunting of Bly Manor' among others. In the show, an isolated island community experiences miraculous events - and frightening omens, after the arrival of a charismatic, mysterious young priest. Flanagan reflects on themes like religious zealotry, redemption, and the role of religion on local communities. The pace of the show is slow, but everything is shrouded by a thin veil of horror that will provoke a constant feeling of discomfort.

'Hypnotic' (2021) | Netflix
In American thriller, 'Hypnotic', Netflix's resident horror queen Kate Siegel who also starred in 'Midnight Mass', plays a woman seeking to improve herself. She reaches out to a renowned hypnotist, played by Jason O'Mara for help. She undergoes some very intense sessions and quickly begins to realize that things are getting much, much worse instead of better. The film is one of the top-ranked titles on Netflix in the US at the moment.

Muppets Haunted Mansion (2021) | Disney+Hotstar
For those of you who want a scary movie that's no so scary but will nevertheless give you Halloween vibes, 'Muppets Haunted Mansion' is the one for you. The Muppet-filled musical comedy captures all its ghostly, family-friendly vibes. Gonzo and pal Pepe accept a challenge to survive a night in the Haunted Mansion, with an all-star supporting cast, including Will Arnett and Taraji P. Henson.

Night Teeth (2021)| Netflix
'Night Teeth' is on Netflix and this LA-set thriller stars actor Jorge Lendeborg Jr. as a college student, who moonlights as a chauffeur. He agrees to drive two young women around for a night of partying, but the party gets really spooky, when they turn out to be a couple of vampires.
The two zombies and our hero get thrown into the chaos of a secret war between rival vampire tribes and human protectors. Need we say more?
