‘Saltburn’ actor Jacob Elordi faces allegations of grabbing a reporter's throat following a prank mishap

Jacob Elordi, known for his roles in ‘Saltburn’ and ‘Euphoria’, is under police investigation in Australia following allegations of assaulting a radio producer on February 3.

According to reports from Australia's Daily Telegraph, the incident occurred at a hotel in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. Joshua Fox, a producer for ‘The Kyle & Jackie O Show’ on KIIS FM, approached Elordi and requested some of his bathwater for Jackie O's birthday, referencing a viral scene from ‘Saltburn.’

Allegedly, Elordi asked Fox to stop filming and delete the footage, leading to an escalation of the situation.

Speaking on the ‘Kyle and Jackie O Breakfast Show’, Mr. Fox recounted approaching the actor outside the building. In a recording released by KIIS FM, Mr. Elordi can be heard requesting not to be filmed.

Mr. Fox stated he agreed to stop ‘because the joke didn't land,’ but Mr. Elordi became confrontational, demanding the deletion of any footage.

Feeling intimidated, Mr. Fox refused, preserving the recording as evidence. Subsequently, Mr. Fox claimed the actor ‘flipped,’ pushing him against the wall with his hands on his throat.

‘He kind of gets up in my face … He’s a lot taller than me. I could’ve kissed him, he was that close, I’m backed against this wall, he’s right in my face and his two boys are now either side of me. … It was kind of scary. I’m feeling quite intimated, and Jacob demands I delete the footage,’ he said.

Police confirmed to BBC Newsbeat they are investigating an alleged assault against a 32-year-old man by a 26-year-old male.
