Rebel Wilson announces baby via surrogacy on Instagram

Actor Rebel Wilson has welcomed a baby girl via surrogacy and she’s super thrilled. The ‘Pitch Perfect’ alum took to Instagram to introduce her newborn daughter Royce Lillian and thanked her surrogate for helping her start her own family.

Sharing a picture of her baby girl, Rebel wrote, ‘Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born this past week via surrogate. I can’t even describe the love I have for her, she’s a beautiful miracle! I am forever grateful to everyone who has been involved, (you know who you are), this has been years in the making…but particularly wanted to thank my gorgeous surrogate who carried her and birthed her with such grace and care. Thank you for helping me start my own family, it’s an amazing gift. The BEST gift!! I am ready to give little Roycie all the love imaginable. I am learning quickly…much respect to all the Mums out there! Proud to be in your club.’

The ‘Senior Year’ star was featured on the cover of PEOPLE in May. Speaking with the magazine, she opened up about her fertility journey, which began in 2019 after her visit to a fertility doctor.

She said the doctor said she would do much better if she were healthier. She was initially taken aback, but she knew he was right. She said was carrying around a lot of excess weight, almost like she didn't think of her own needs. She mentioned that the future child's needs really inspired her to get healthier.

Rebel Wilson also suffers from polycystic ovarian syndrome which can affect fertility.
