Kanye West is being sued by two female teachers of his privately-run Donda Academy

American rapper Kanye West is in the news for a lawsuit against him by former teachers of his privately run school Donda Academy.According to a People article, Cecilia Hailey and her daughter Chekarey Byers, two female teachers who were let go from West's school, filed a lawsuit on Thursday in Los Angeles County Superior Court. As per the women, the school disregarded a number of Department of Education requirements and state laws.

The ex-teachers claim that West's school employed instructors who lacked adequate training in basic life support techniques and that there was a serious safety issue involving the students that frequently resulted in bullying. Additionally, a school nurse and janitorial staff were reportedly absent from the school. Furthermore, they leveled criticism at Donda Academy, citing the school's failure to follow nutritional recommendations for its students' meals.

According to Hailey and Byers, Moira Love, the director/principal of Donda Academy, was informed of the flaws and violations on at least three separate occasions. However, their complaints led them to get fired.

'Additionally, throughout the entirety of Plaintiffs' employment, the only lunch available for students was sushi, every single day. Students were not allowed to bring any outside food or anything other than water. It was widely known that West spends $10,000.00 a week on sushi,' the lawsuit alleges.

Besides this, they claim that they were subjected to racial discrimination and that their wages were frequently withheld in the lawsuit. According to ABC 7, the women are requesting more than $1 million in compensation for lost wages and emotional distress.
