Justin Timberlake holds first concert in Chicago after arrest, thanks fans for standing by him

A few days after his arrest in New York over DUI-related charges, Justin Timberlake returned to the stage Friday for his Chicago concert. During his first gig after arrest, the singer thanked fans in the way most suited, mentioning 'it was a tough week' for him. “I know sometimes I’m hard to love, but you keep loving me and I love you right back," he added.

Justin's Chicago concert

Justin Timberlake held his first concert at Chicago's United Center Friday night, after his arrest for DWI earlier this week. After indirectly addressing his arrest and thanking fans for standing by him, he led the band into 'Sefish,' the first song from his latest album, 'Everything I Thought It Was'. The former NSYNC member will hit the stage again on Saturday for a second night of the 'Forget Tomorrow' world tour in Chicago.

About Justin's arrest

Justin was arrested by The Sag Harbor New York Police Department on June 17 after he blew through a signpost failing to stay in lane. He was taken into custody. Sag Harbor police said Timberlake was observed “operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition,” around 12:37 a.m. Tuesday morning after visiting a local hotel restaurant and bar. He was driving a 2025 BMW when he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and failed to maintain in his lane of travel, police said. Timberlake had told police he “had one martini and followed my friends home,” according to court records. He reportedly rejected a chemical test three times.
