Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Finalize Divorce Following Contentious Custody Battle

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have officially ended their relationship.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ on September 10, the Jonas Brothers singer and the ‘Game of Thrones’ actor reached a divorce settlement one year after separating. Although the terms remain confidential, a judge has signed off on their agreement.

Their divorce has been a lengthy process.

Joe filed for divorce in September 2023 after four years of marriage, stating that their relationship was ‘irretrievably broken.’

Sophie, who shares daughters Willa, and Delphine, with Joe, later filed a lawsuit accusing him of preventing the children from returning to England by withholding their passports. She also claimed she learned about the divorce through the media.

In response to Sophie Turner's lawsuit, Joe Jonas’ rep clarified that the children ‘were not abducted’ and that Joe was ‘seeking shared parenting so they are raised by both their mother and father.’

A month later, the couple reached an agreement on custody arrangements. Sophie shared that the decision was made with their daughters' futures in mind.

‘My dream is to have a big Christmas where my daughters can have their dad, Joe's whole family, and their grandparents there,’ Sophie told British Vogue in a May 15 interview.

‘I don't care about the politics; I just want the girls to feel loved and supported,’ she said.

She added, ‘Joe is a great father to our children, and that's all I can ask for.’

Sophie, now dating property developer Peregrine Pearson, remains confident they can figure things out.

Meanwhile, Joe, who has been linked to model Stormi Bree and actor Laila Abdullah, also holds a positive view of Sophie.

He shared that he has no intention of targeting her in his upcoming album ‘Music for People Who Believe in Love’.

‘I’m not trying to come for anyone on this album,’ Joe said in a Billboard interview published August 27. ‘I’m not trying to put stuff on blast.’

However, he does reflect on his emotions about the breakup, adding, ‘I have a beautiful life, two amazing kids, and I’m happy. The music needed to reflect that, but also the journey to get here.’

Former couple Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner eloped in Las Vegas in May 2019 and later held a larger wedding with their loved ones at Château de Tourreau in Sarrians, France, in June.
