The 2024 Grammys was a ratings success, with 16.9 million viewers watching the live telecast on Sunday night. The star-studded event was attended by Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Jay-Z, and Celine Dion, among others.

The 66th annual Grammy was a star-studded affair in the presence of the biggest music artists. The event proved to be a massive success, bringing in an average of 16.9 million viewers and featuring several high performances and surprises. This marks a 34 per cent improvement from last year's show when 12.4 million viewers turned on to watch the show. From Miley Cyrus winning her first Grammy to Taylor Swift securing her fourth Album of the Year win, the Sunday event was one incredible night.

Record Viewership at 66th Grammys

According to Nielson, an average of 16.9 million viewers were recorded during the Grammy Awards on Sunday. The show drew the largest audience for the telecast in four years, witnessing another consecutive annual increase of 34 per cent. As per reports, the viewership was at its peak at 9:45 PM (ET), with 18.25 million people tuning in to watch the Memoria segment, with performances by Stevie Wonder, Annie Lennox, Jon Batiste, and Fantasia Barrino.

Key highlights of Grammy 2024

The Sunday event was a magical affair. While pop star Miley Cyrus won her first Grammy for her megahit 'Flowers', Billie Eilish serenaded the audience with her piano ballad from 'Barbie's song 'What Was I Made For?' which was also crowned Song of the Year. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift earned her fourth Album of the Year for 'Midnights'.
