'Game of Thrones' sequel confirmed! Emilia Clarke and author George R R Martin share details

The 'Game of Thrones' sequel, which is centered around the popular character Jon Snow, is in development. The series creator George R R Martin and Emilia Clarke recently confirmed the news and shared a few details about the same.

Emilia, known for portraying the role of fearless Daenerys Targaryen, Mother of Dragons, told BBC that Kit Harington will be reprising his role in the spin-off centered around Jon Snow, as previously reported. She said the sequel is happening and Kit has informed her about it.

Emilia further added that the show will probably be created by Kit Harington himself.

'It’s been created by Kit as far as I can understand, so he’s in it from the ground up. So what you will be watching, hopefully, if it happens, is certified by Kit Harington,' she told BBC.

Emilia Clarke denied reprising her role in the sequel.

'Game of Thrones' creator Martin also confirmed the news via his blog on Thursday and said the Jon Snow show is in its planning stages. He further added that Harington presented the idea of the sequel to him and its working title would simply be 'SNOW.'

Kit Harington received two Emmy nominations for his portrayal of Jon Snow, the king in the North.

In the final season of 'Game of Thrones,' Jon Snow discovered that his actual name is Aegon Targaryen, who is a potential heir to the Iron Throne. He was thrown out of Westeros, after which he decides to leave his old life behind and travels North of the Wall with the Wildlings.
