'Even baddies get saddies’: Is Joe Jonas referring to his ex-wife Sophie Turner in the new song?

Singer Joe Jonas might have turned his separation pain into music. He shared a teaser of his new song and fans believe it is about Sophie Turner.

'Even baddies get saddies’: Is Joe Jonas referring to his ex-wife Sophie Turner in the new song?

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner parted ways in 2023 after four years of marriage. The couple seemed to be moving on and finally opening up about their relationship and pain. While Sophie spoke out recently about the rough patch, mentioning how Taylor Swift provided a safe space during turbulent times, Joe Jonas now appears to have penned down a song referring to his relationship.

Joe Jonas pens song referring to ex?

Joe Jonas seems to have referred to his separation with Sophie Turner in a new song. The singer took to TikTok to share a teaser of the new song. The lyrics of the song talk about feeling ‘miserable’ and fans believe it is about his feelings about separation with Sophie.

The singer is heard singing, “Come on, Joe, you got so much more to be grateful for. Stop being sad because you’re making the room uncomfortable / OK I get it / I know you’re feeling so miserable / Sometimes I wish I had powers to be invisible.” He further sings, “Even baddies get saddies and that’s the hardest truth / Called your mommy and daddy, they don’t know what to do.” Joe Jonas shared the video with the caption, “Even baddies get saddies.”

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's separation

The couple broke the news with a statement last year that read, “After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicable end our marriage. There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

Following their separation, Joe and Sophie were involved in an ugly custody battle. Sophie accused Joe of wrong detention of their children. The former couple later reached an arrangement even as they continue to navigate their divorce proceedings.

When Sophie spoke about Joe Jonas

Reflecting on her fallout with ex-husband, Sophie recently told British Vogue, “I was unhappy with the way everything played out.” “I think we’re doing the best we can. I’m confident that we can figure it out. Joe is a great father to our children and that’s all that I can ask for,” she added.
