Every year during the event, there’s one popular meme that resurfaces: Jason Derulo falling down the stairs. This has been in circulation since 2015 thanks to a misunderstanding on Twitter. A user had claimed that this mystery man in a white suit looked like Jason and tweeted that he fell down the steps of the Met Gala. When it first surfaced online, Jason clarified that he wasn’t there at the event.

Still, there are people who believe that the images of the superstar taking a tumble are real. However, this time as well it turns out, the singer was nowhere near New York at the time of the event.
