Celine Dion diagnosed with rare neurological disorder; postpones entire European leg of the tour

Singer Celine Dion has postponed her upcoming European tour dates. She took to social media on Thursday and shared a video in which she opened up about a health issue she has been facing for a long time. Dion revealed that she has been diagnosed with Stiff Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that is incurable.

In the video, Celine Dion said, ‘Recently, I’ve been diagnosed with a very rare neurological condition called Stiff Person Syndrome, which affects something like one in a million people. While we’re still learning about this rare condition, we now know that this is what has been causing all of the spasms that I’ve been having.’

The five-time Grammy winner said that these spasms affect every aspect of her daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when she walks and not allowing her to use her vocal cords to sing the way she used to.

The singer informed her fans that she won't be ready to restart her tour in Europe in February but she is working towards making her health better so that she is back on the stage soon.

Celine's 'Courage World Tour' began in 2019 and was hit by the pandemic just after 52 shows. She later had to cancel the entire North American leg of the tour due to her health problems.
