‘Boy Meets World’ star Danielle Fishel reveals breast cancer diagnosis

‘Boy Meets World’ star Danielle Fishel has shocked fans and revealed her breast cancer diagnosis. The actor shared the news on the latest episode of her ‘Pod Meets World’ podcast.

Fishel assured her fans that the diagnosis happened at a very early stage and it’s technically stage zero. A mother of two, Fishel sounded positive about her diagnosis and informed the fans that she will undergo surgery to remove it and she is going to be fine. “I was diagnosed with high grade DCIS with micro invasion. And I'm going to be fine, I'm having surgery to remove it,” she said.

Danielle Fishel also revealed why she decided to share the news with everyone and said that she hoped that it will encourage others. She said, “My first instinct when I was diagnosed was to do that clam up thing … and then what I realized is the more people I talk to, the more people have their own experiences.”

The 43-year-old actor rose to fame with her role in the popular sitcom ‘Boy Meets World’. Later, she also reprised her role in ‘Girl Meets World’, a spinoff of the show.
