George Clooney and Amal Clooney have been a power couple that everyone looks up to but it seems that their marriage is facing troubles. Reports have emerged that despite vowing to prioritise their relationship, their hectic work schedules have taken the front seat.

Clooneys living separately?

The couple had pledged to not be apart for more than a week, however, the couple is finding it difficult to keep up the vow. Recent reports suggest that George Clooney is all set to relocate to New York for at least a year. The Oscar winning actor will be working on a Broadway project and the project requires him to relocate. Meanwhile, Amal Clooney, who is a renowned human rights lawyer, will continue to work from her Lake Como villa. With George set to relocate for a year and Amal busy with her work, the couple seems to have given in to their hectic schedules.

According to a source, the couple is living separate lives owing to their busy work life.
Earlier in 2021, George Clooney had announced retirement from acting. “My wife and I had this conversation when I turned 60. I said, ‘We both love what we do. But we gotta make sure we don’t book ourselves silly,’” he had said. However, the actor couldn’t stay away from work and is busy with back to back films. He is multi-taskiing as an actor, director and producer.

Talking about Amal, the human rights lawyer, is working on international cases. The high-profile lawyer juggles between London and The Hague, where the International Criminal Court is located.

When George stood by Amal

Despite the reports of George and Amal’s relationship taking a hit, the Oscar winning actor recently stood up for his wife and did not hesitate to dial White House. According to reports, George spoke to one of Biden’s aides after the US President harshly criticised the International Criminal Court and suggested sanctions against the organisation. The ICC, recently sought an arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Amal played a key role in the efforts. George defended his wife and allegedly termed Biden’s actions to block the ICC, ‘outrageous’. Clooney is a Democrat by heart and is supporting Biden in the 2024 Presidential race.
