Angelina Jolie aims to resolve legal dispute with Brad Pitt over shared winery, lawyer issues statement

Angelina Jolie seeks to resolve her lengthy legal dispute with Brad Pitt over their shared winery. Her legal team has urged Brad to drop the lawsuit and put an end to the ongoing conflict.

In a statement to People, Angelina's lawyer Paul Murphy accused Brad of using the winery and a prior attempt to purchase her shares as a means to ‘punish and control Angelina’ through demands for an expanded NDA covering personal misconduct and abuse.

Earlier this year, Angelina referenced the Non-Disclosure Agreements in court documents. In May, a court granted Brad's request for Angelina to provide years of NDAs signed by employees and others.

The legal battle has persisted, with Angelina now requesting Brad to share all communications related to a 2016 incident during a family flight.

‘These actions are crucial to the case,’ stated Paul. ‘We are not surprised Mr. Pitt is hesitant to provide evidence of these events,’ he added.

He continued, ‘While Angelina urges Mr. Pitt to end the dispute and move towards family healing, she must obtain evidence to refute his claims unless he withdraws the lawsuit.’

However, Brad Pitt's legal team strongly opposes the request, labeling it a ‘sensationalist fishing expedition’ that is unrelated to the winery dispute.

Pitt's legal team asserts that he previously offered to disclose documents regarding the plane trip, but Jolie declined in favour of accessing his private communications with third parties concerning the incident. These communications reportedly involve sensitive matters such as therapy Pitt underwent voluntarily afterward, allegations of drug and alcohol testing, alleged overuse or abuse of alcohol, and subsequent actions taken, as per court filings cited by People.

For those unfamiliar, ‘The Babylon’ actor faced charges of ‘attempted assault’ for allegedly grabbing Jolie by her hair, shaking her repeatedly, and forcefully pushing her into a bathroom wall. This incident purportedly occurred in the presence of their children. Additionally, allegations were raised against Pitt regarding his use of violence towards his children during the altercation.
