Eric Nam and Dave Bautista have been cast in Paramount Pictures' upcoming animated film ‘Aang: The Last Airbender’.

‘Aang: The Last Airbender’: Eric Nam cast as the voice of adult Aang, Dave Bautista as villain

Amid the excitement building up around ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’, Paramount has finally unveiled the title and cast of their upcoming animated film. The film will be centred around an older Aang while the Nickelodeon show focused on the adventures of a young Airbender.

Cast of ‘Aang: The Last Airbender’

Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon studios unveiled that the film based on older Aang’s chronicles will be titled ‘Aang: The Last Airbender’. This will be the first film in a planned trilogy.

Singer and songwriter Eric Nam has been confirmed to voice for adult Aang. Meanwhile, Dave Bautista has been cast to voice for villain. Other than Nam and Bautista, Dionne Quan, Jessica Matten, and Roman Zaragoza will also join the voice cast as Toph, Katara, and Sokka respectively.

For the unversed, the original animated ‘Avatar’ series aired on Nickelodeon from 2005-2008. Recently, Netflix released a live-action version of the show, which has also been renewed for Seasons 2 and 3.

More about ‘Aang: The Last Airbender’

Even though the makers have kept the details of the film’s plot under wraps, the animated film is scheduled to release on October 10, 2025. Lauren Montgomery and William Mata will be directing the animated film while the original series creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko will be the executive producers alongside Eric Coleman.
