Filmmaker Karan Johar recently attended the trailer launch event of his co-production 'Kill' ahead of its release. During the event, the producer-director was asked to share his two cents on the Kangana Ranaut slap incident. For the unversed, the actor-turned-MP was slapped by a CISF personnel at the Chandigarh Airport last week.

Karan Johar reacts to Kangana Ranaut slapgate

Karan Johar was recently asked to share his take on Kangana Ranaut being slapped by a CISF constable. After taking a moment to comprehend the question, Johar replied, “I do not support or condone any form of violence, verbal or physical.”

Kangana Ranaut, BJP’s MP-elect from Himachal Pradesh's Mandi, was reportedly slapped by the CISF security official at Chandigarh Airport while she was travelling to Delhi, allegedly over 'disrespecting' farmers.

Kangana had questioned the film industry's silence

Earlier, Kangana Ranaut had called out the film fraternity for their silence on the incident. Taking to her Instagram stories, she wrote, “Dear film industry, you all are either celebrating or are mum on the airport attack on me remember if tomorrow if you walking disarmingly on some street of your country or anywhere else in the world and some Israeli / Palestinian hits you or your children just because you tried to bring eyes to Rafah or stood up for Israeli hostage... then you will see I will be fighting for your rights of free speech if someday you wonder why I am where I am remember you are not me (sic).” However, the actor soon deleted her story from Instagram.

Kangana-Karan history

While Kangana Ranaut grabs the headlines for her alleged feud with B-town celebs often, her tiff with Karan Johar has remained one of the most-talked-about celeb fights in recent times. It all started when Kangana appeared on Johar's chat show, 'Koffee With Karan', and launched several attacks at him, accusing him of being the flag-bearer of nepotism in Bollywood. Since then, there have been many accounts where Kangana has called out Karan, despite the filmmaker maintaining his silence all this while.

On the film front, Kangana will next be seen in 'Emergency,' while Karan recently announced his yet-to-be-titled project.
