Vijay Deverakonda-Karan Johar to reunite for romantic film after 'Liger's debacle at box office: Report

Actor Vijay Deverakonda and filmmaker Karan Johar are reportedly all set to reunite for a romantic film after the debacle of 'Liger'. As per a Bollywood Hungama report, the duo are planning on working on an 'out-and-out love story'.

Sources told Bollywood Hungama that Karan doesn’t want to take any chances with the genre, especially after the failure of sports action drama.

The sources further added that 'Karan and Vijay are much in touch and discussions are on for a new project that this time Karan will produce, needless to say Puri Ki Puri on his own, pun intended.'

The duo is yet to react to the new reports.

Vijay Deverakonda marked his Bollywood debut with Karan Johar-produced 'Liger', co-starring Ananya Panday.

There are also reports that 'Liger' distributors have allegedly threatened to protest against director Puri Jagannadh for not returning their money after the film terribly failed at the ticket-booth.

Besides this, Karan has many interesting films in the pipeline - 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahan', which marks his return to direction after a gap of six years, and a yet-to-titled action film.

On the other hand, Vijay Deverakonda will collaborated with director Puri Jagannadh once again for 'Jana Gana Mana', co-starring Pooja Hegde. He also has Shiva Nirvana's 'Kushi' with Samantha Prabhu in his kitty.
