Vidya Balan, Ram Kapoor starrer 'Neeyat' commences shoot

Vidya Balan has started shooting for her next project ‘Neeyat’. The murder mystery is being helmed by Anu Menon.

Taking to her Instagram handle, the 'Jalsa' actor shared a photo with Anu and Vikram Malhotra. Vidya wrote, "Excited to begin shooting one of the most engaging scripts I have read in the recent times, with some of my favourite people - @directormenon & @ivikramix All I can say is expect the unexpected #Neeyat, Filming Begins (sic)."

This is not the first time Vidya Balan is working with Anu Menon. She had earlier worked with Anu in 'Shakuntala Devi'.

The story of ‘Neeyat’ has been written by Anu Menon, Advaita Kala, and Girvani Dhyani. The screenplay is being done by Anu Menon, Priya Venkataraman, Kala and Dhyani. The film’s dialogues are by Kausar Munir.

‘Neeyat’ will see Vidya Balan essaying the role of detective Mira Rao. The film also stars Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Mita Vasisht, Neeraj Kabi, Shahana Goswami, Dipannita Sharma, Amrita Puri, Shashank Arora, Prajakta Koli, Danish Razvi and others.
