Actor Vicky Kaushal opened up about his struggle and mentioned that he was not getting proper work.

Vicky Kaushal talks about his struggling phase, says 'I used to go home after my failed auditions'

Actor Vicky Kaushal who is on a promotional spree for his forthcoming film, 'Govinda Naam Mera' co-starring Bhumi Pednekar and Kiara Advani marked his presence on the Marathi show 'Chala Hawa Yeu Dya,' recently. At the show, the actor talked about his struggling phase in the industry and said there was a time when he was not getting work.

He said, 'There was a time when people were not giving me work. I don't know why. I used to go home after my failed auditions and tell my mother, I can see my dream going away, I don't know what and why is happening to me.'

'Uri: The Surgical Strike' actor mentioned that his mother used to motivate him during the difficult time.

When questioned about his favourite Maharashtrian snacks, he said, 'I am born and brought up in Maharashtra and that is why I feel more connected and rooted here. Also, my childhood and school friends are all Maharashtrians. So, my Marathi is very fluent and I am really proud of it.'

'Govinda Naam Mera' directed by Shashank Khaitan releases on December 16.

On the work front, apart from 'Govinda Naam Mera', he also has Laxman Utekar's untitled romantic drama film co-starring Sara Ali Khan.
