Vicky Kaushal responds to Amul's tribute to ‘Sam Bahadur’: ‘Iss Amul-ya pyaar…’

Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sam Bahadur’ is garnering immense praise from the audience and some are even demanding a national award for the actor.
Amid the film’s success, Vicky was featured in the latest Amul ad. He responded with delight to a special shoutout from the iconic brand.

‘Sam Bahadur’ opened with Rs 5.50 crore. Looks like the second day was also tough for Vicky Kaushal’s film. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur earned Rs 9.25 crore (early estimates) on its second day. Meanwhile, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal earned Rs 66 crore, pushing the total collection to Rs 100 crore in only two days.

Sam Bahadur is based on the life of India’s first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. His career in the army spanned over four decades and five wars. He was the first Indian Army officer to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal and his military victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war led to the creation of Bangladesh.

Besides Vicky Kaushal, Sam Bahadur also stars Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick (as Lord Mountbatten), Richard Bhakti Klein (as Ambassador Keating), Saqib Ayub (Captain Attiqur Rahman) and Krishna Kant Singh Bundela (as Subedar Gurbaksh Singh) in key roles. It also features Fatima Sana Shaikh as former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Sanya Malhotra as Sam’s love interest.

On its second day, 'Sam Bahadur' garnered an estimated Rs 9.25 crore, following its opening collection of Rs 5.50 crore.
In contrast, 'Animal,' starring Ranbir Kapoor, raked in Rs 66 crore, totalling Rs 100 crore within just two days.
'Sam Bahadur' delves into the life of India’s first Field Marshal, Sam Manekshaw, renowned for his extensive military career spanning over four decades and five wars. His leadership during the 1971 Indo-Pak war led to the birth of Bangladesh.

Apart from Vicky Kaushal, the film stars Neeraj Kabi, Edward Sonnenblick (as Lord Mountbatten), Richard Bhakti Klein (as Ambassador Keating), Saqib Ayub (Captain Attiqur Rahman), and Krishna Kant Singh Bundela (as Subedar Gurbaksh Singh) in pivotal roles.

The cast also includes Fatima Sana Shaikh portraying former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Sanya Malhotra as Sam’s love interest.
