'Veere Di Wedding 2': Rhea Kapoor confirms she is working on sequel

Film producer Rhea Kapoor has confirmed that she working on a sequal of her 2018 film 'Veere Di Wedding' which starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Shikha Talsania.

In an interview with News18, Rhea talked about working on ‘Veere Di Wedding 2' and said it is going to be ‘very different.’

Talking about what took her so long for the sequel, she said, “I didn’t want to do it until I knew that it would be better than the first one and I knew that it was going to be hard because Veere Di Wedding is my everything.”

Rhea said that film is very important to her and that she is very attached to it. She said she wanted to enjoy making the film the same way she did with the first part.

On the topic of working with her sister Sonam Kapoor again, Rhea said, “We are again coming together. I’m really excited about it because we are doing something completely different… We always find a way to come together (professionally).”

There is no official confirmation on the cast yet though there are rumours that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam Kapoor will be reprising their roles in the sequel.

Rhea’s recent production venture, ‘Thank You for Coming’ is also garnering great response from the audience.
