Vaani Kapoor wants filmmakers to approach her for challenging roles

Actor Vaani Kapoor, who recently essayed a transgender-woman role in 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui', is consciously working on shaping up her filmography by choosing scripts and characters that are different from the league.

The actor said that she hopes that her work in 'Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui' and her upcoming release 'Shamshera' where she will be seen opposite Ranbir Kapoor, will incite the confidence in filmmakers about her craft. She said that she hopes filmmakers will now approach her with challenging roles.

Elaborating further, Vaani added that she will give her everything to pull off any character that she is approached with to play on screen.

The actress added that she wants her journey in cinema to be filled with varied films and genres and characters that light up the screen to entertain audiences.
