‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’: Shraddha Kapoor thanks Luv Ranjan for casting her and Ranbir Kapoor

The trailer of Luv Ranjan’s ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, was unveiled on January 23. At the trailer launch event, Shraddha teasingly thanked the director for being ‘open to working with fresh faces,’ instead of his go-to couple Kartik Aaryan and Nushrratt Bharuccha.

She said, ‘I'm so excited that Luv sir ne decide kiya ki Kartik aur Nushrratt ke alava (Luv sir decided that besides Kartik and Nushrratt), he was open to working with us fresh faces. Bohut khushi ki baat hui (I'm very happy), so thank you very much Luv sir.’

Kartik and Nushrratt have worked together in Luv Ranjan’s movies like ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ (2011), ‘Akaash Vani’ (2013), ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’ (2015) and ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ (2018). Whereas, Shraddha is working with Luv Ranjan for the first time.

Shraddha also said, ‘Everyone knows that Ranbir is such a fabulous actor and I always admired his work and to experience [this] on set with him bohut maaza aiya (we had a lot of fun) and he's really superb.’

The filmmaker kept Ranbir and Shraddha apart at the event, saying people can see them together on the big screen.

‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’ will mark Ranbir Kapoor’s return to the romantic-comedy genre a decade after ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’. The upcoming film also stars Boney Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia and comedian Anubhav Singh Bassi in pivotal roles. The movie will hit the theatres on Holi, March 8.
