Toolsidas Junior trailer out: Sanjay Dutt turns snooker coach in Rajiv Kapoor's last film. WATCH

After much anticipation, the makers of Sanjay Dutt and late Rajiv Kapoor starrer sports drama 'Toolsidas Junior' unveiled its trailer on Saturday. The film also features child actor Varun Buddhadev and is slated to release in theatres on March 4, 2022.

The trailer introduces Rajiv as Toolsidas, an ace snooker player who proudly proclaims that he 'only plays for his son'. We see glimpses of his cueing prowess and his son's activities, including the titular Toolsidas Junior (played by Varun). However, after Toolsidas loses in a tournament to his arch-rival, his son decides to fulfil his father's dream. For this, he enlists the help of a former snooker champion Mohammad Salam (Sanjay).

For the unversed, 'Toolsidas Junior' was the comeback of filmmaker Raj Kapoor's youngest son Rajiv Kapoor to screen 30 years after his 1990 movie Zimmedaaar. The movie is Rajiv Kapoor's last film before his demise.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashutosh Gowariker and Sunita Gowariker, the film is written and directed by Mridul. The movie went on the floors in 2018.
