'The Sabarmati Report': Vikrant Massey to star with Raashi Khanna in this thriller; more details here

Actor Vikrant Massey, who is currently enjoying the success of '12th Fail', is all set to headline Ranjan Chandel's forthcoming film, titled 'The Sabarmati Report'. The makers shared an announcement video of the film. And have also revealed its release date. "Get ready to unfold the history with an untold story - The Sabarmati Report - a riveting journey into the 2002 incident that left an indelible mark on the entire nation! In cinemas on 3rd May 2024,"

Vikrant will be seen sharing the screen space with Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna in this thriller which is being made under Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures. This film will also mark Raashi's Hindi debut in a bollywood film.

The forthcoming film is inspired by true events that took place on the Sabarmati Express on the morning of February 27, 2002, near the Godhra Railway station in Gujarat.

For the unversed, on February 27, 2002, a bogie of the Sabarmati Express train leaving from Godhra station in Gujarat was set on fire by a frenzied mob. In this incident, 59 people returning from Ayodhya were killed, after which riots broke out across Gujarat.

The film will be released on May 3, 2024.
