'The Archies' trailer release: Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor praise Zoya Akhtar directorial

The much-awaited trailer of ‘The Archies’ has been released and it is receiving immense love from fans and celebrities. Filmmaker Karan Johar took to Instagram and praised the director Zoya Akhtar.

Karan praises Zoya

KJo shared the trailer on social media platform and wrote, ‘Zoya and I grew up together…she was the wiser one, the smarter one and still is! She waited 7 years to start her first film (so much for nepotism and privilege), she had more actors turn her down than most tables at high end restaurants. She still, with passion and perseverance, got to make Luck By Chance…which was the most critically acclaimed film of that year but didn’t have that luck at the box office. She then directed my favourite ZO Akhtar film ZNMD, keeping her conviction intact (was told to edit it tighter, remove driving shots in a “road trip “ film, add an item song). She listened to her inner voice and not anyone else and made a super hit award winning film!’

Karan also appreciated the fact that Zoya could have chosen an ensemble of superstars, but she made what she believed in. He said the trailer is reflective of what she stands for and that the 7 kids are blessed to work under her guidance.

Janhvi Kapoor praises Khushi

Taking to Instagram, Janhvi Kapoor praised her sister Khushi and wrote, ‘The world of Archies! It’s like nothing we’ve ever seen before ️(red heart emoji) it’s sunshine, it’s fun, and it’s all heart. 🥹 and it’s my sisters big puppy dog eyes making me want to pin her to the ground and give her 1000 cuddles and 5000 kissies.’

Arjun Kapoor praises Khushi

Arjun Kapoor also praised his sister and wrote, ‘you have no idea mujhe kitni khushi hui looking at this trailer!! (you have no idea how happy I am looking at this trailer) ❤️❤️❤️❤️ It’s finally here and just looking like a WOW!!’

Gauri Khan congratulates 'The Archies' team

Gauri Khan shared the trailer on her Instagram handle and congratulated the whole team. She wrote, ‘Congratulations to team Archies!!!’

‘The Archies’ stars Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan, late actor Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda in lead roles. Vedang Raina, Aditi Saigal (Dot), Mihir Ahuja, Yuvraj Menda play prominent roles in the film.
