'Thank God' first look: Ajay Devgn introduces himself as Chitragupt; film to release this Diwali

Ajay Devgn will be seen in an all-new avatar in his upcoming movie 'Thank God', co-starring Sidharth Malhotra and Rakul Preet Singh. The actor took to Instagram on Thursday and shared the first poster of the film in which he is seen in a royal look, dressed in a black three-piece suit sitting on a golden throne.

Sharing the post, Ajay announced that the film will release this Diwali. ‘This Diwali, Chitragupt is coming to play the game of life with you and your family. #ThankGod trailer out tomorrow. In cinemas on October 25,' he wrote.

Fans are loving his latest post. One user commented, “Chitragupt wearing goggles." Another one really liked the look of the actor and called it “jabardast (powerful) look.”

'Thank God' is directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Ashok Thakeria, Sunir Kheterpal, Deepak Mukut, Anand Pandit and Markand Adhikari and co-produced by Yash Shah.

Recently in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Rakul Preet said, ‘It's comedy and (has) a lot of emotion. I just happened to see the film about two weeks back and I walked out with the feeling that we really wanted the audience to go through (it). It touches your heart, and it's like a Munnabhai-(MBBS)-meets-Oh-My-God space; not that it's got anything to do with that but that's the space. I think it's entertaining and I think people will hopefully go to the theaters to watch it.’

Last year in an interview with PTI, Siddharth had said, that ‘Thank God’ is a contemporary film that gives a ‘sweet message.’ 'Thank God' talks about gratitude, which is needed today more than ever," he said.
