‘Thama’: Ayushmann Khurrana & Rashmika Mandanna join hands for upcoming horror comedy

After the immense success of ‘Munjya’ and ‘Stree 2’, Maddock Films is getting ready for yet another horror comedy. The makers have unveiled the title as well as scheduled release date of the film.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna will be paired together for the Maddock’s upcoming film ‘Thama’. The horror comedy will be released next Diwalli. The big news was announced by Maddock with a motion poster. “Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy universe needed a love story... unfortunately, it’s a bloody one,” read Maddock films’ post on Instagram.

‘Munjya’ fame Aditya Sarpotdar will be directing the film which will have elements of love story besides horror comedy. The cast has raised anticipation as Ayushmann and Rashmika will share screen space for the first time.Apart from Ayushmann and Rashmika, the film will also star Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik are the producers behind the mega project.

Ayushmann Khurrana is currently shooting for another film with Sara Ali Khan. Rashmika, on the other hand, is gearing up for the highly anticipated ‘Pushpa: The Rule’.

Maddock Films has had a successful year at box office. After ‘Munjya’ which turned out to be a sleeper hit, ‘Stree 2’ emerged as the highest grossing Hindi film of the year. The film has minted Rs 800 crore at the box office.
