Taapsee Pannu on her husband, Mathias Boe: 'It was not love at first sight...'

Taapsee Pannu and her long-term partner, badminton player Mathias Boe, tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Udaipur back in March. Recently, in an interview with Cosmopolitan India, the actor opened up about their relationship, revealing that it didn't start with love at first sight. Instead, she took time, wanting to test their connection.

In the interview, Pannu confessed that while she has always had a soft spot for athletes, her relationship with Boe required a testing phase to determine its feasibility. She emphasized that falling in love wasn't instant for her; it took time as they spent more time together. She expressed admiration and respect for Boe, stating that she gradually developed feelings for him. 'It was not like a love-at-first-sight situation, for me at least—I took time to test if it’s really practical...the feasibility of the relationship was important for me. I was obviously fond of him and respected him, and we kept meeting and I grew to love him. So, falling in love didn’t happen in a month or instantly. It is a fact though, which I keep repeating in most interviews about him. When I met him, I felt like I met a man.’

Pannu highlighted the sense of security and maturity she felt with Boe, which distinguished him from her past relationships.

Reflecting on their wedding, the first video of the ceremony surfaced on Reddit, showcasing Pannu in a red suit adorned with heavy jewellry, while Boe wore a traditional sherwani and pagdi. The couple exchanged vows on March 23 in Udaipur, in an intimate affair with pre-wedding festivities on March 20. Following the jaimaal ceremony, the newlyweds shared warm moments of dancing, hugging, and kissing.

Transitioning to her professional front, Pannu's latest appearance was in Rajkumar Hirani's ‘Dunki,’ featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role.
