Sunny Deol congratulates Salman Khan on ‘Tiger 3’s success; fans wonder if ‘Jeet 2’ is in the making

Actor Sunny Deol showed support for Salman Khan on social media as his latest film, ‘Tiger 3’, approaches the Rs 400 crore milestone at the global box office. Sunny shared a photo with Salman, captioned, ‘Jeet Gaye. (You won).’

The caption led fans to think that there is a possibility of a sequel to Salman and Sunny’s 1996 film ‘Jeet’.

A fan commented, ‘Lag raha hai Jeet-2 banne wali hai (Seems like Jeet 2 is in the making),’ while another one wrote, ‘Who agrees for Jeet 2?’ A follower commented, ‘Jeet 2 loading.’

Directed by Raj Kanwar, ‘Jeet’ starred Salman Khan, Sunny Deol, and Karisma Kapoor. The characters were caught in a love triangle.

Sunny’s support to Salman comes after the blockbuster success of his film ‘Gadar 2’, a few months back.

Salman had extended virtual support to Sunny by posting, ‘Dhai kilo ka haath equals chalis cr ki opening. Sunny paaji is killing it. Congrats to the entire team of Gadar 2.’ Salman also attended a special bash in support of Sunny and the ‘Gadar 2’ team.

‘Tiger 3’ received a strong opening day collection of Rs 43 crore, despite being released on a Sunday and on the festival of Diwali.

After a strong box office opening, Salman and Katrina Kaif starrer is now slowing down at the box office. The film’s collection was the lowest on its ninth day of release, as it collected only Rs 6.5 crore in all languages. The film’s domestic collection stands at Rs 236 crore in nine days.

SUNNY DEOL’S WORK FRONT

After ‘Gadar 2’, Sunny Deol will star in ‘Baap’, which also features Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff and Mithun Chakraborty. He also has ‘Lahore 1947’ and ‘Soorya’ in the pipeline.
