Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor share a new poster of ‘The Archies’; introduce the stylish gang | see post

Suhana Khan and Khushi Kapoor took to social media on June 12 to share a new poster of their debut movie ‘The Archies’. The poster features them posing with Agastya Nanda, Vedang Raina, Yuvraj Menda, and Mihir Ahuja among others.

Director Zoya Akhtar also took to social media to share the new poster and wrote, ‘Take a trip to Riverdale. We have saved you a seat. Meet the Archies gang. Coming soon only on Netflix India.’
Suhana plays Veronica in the movie, while Khushi would be seen as the girl next-door Betty, and Agastya plays the titular lead, who is torn between love and friends. Mihir Ahuja, Dot, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda play the other gang members.

‘The Archies’ began production last year in April.

Producer Reema Kagti had shared a slate from the first day of the shoot with the caption, ‘Archie’s shoot starts, Tiger Baby’s first solo production #partnerincrime @zoieakhtar @Netflix.’
‘The Archies’ is set to be a musical set in the 1960s.

Earlier, Zoya Akhtar said that the comic has been part of her childhood and teenage years.
‘I am super excited to have the chance to bring The Archies to life. It was a large part of my childhood and teenage years. The characters are iconic and globally loved, which is also why I am a little nervous.

I have to make sure the film stokes the nostalgia of a generation that grew up on the comic and yet resonates with the young adults today,’ she said in a statement.
