Stree 2 trailer out: Rajkummar Rao starrer is a scary ride with a comedy riot & a new villain- ‘Sirkata'

The much-awaited trailer of ‘Stree 2’ starring Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, and Abhishek Banerjee is out and it’s raising the excitement. The horror-comedy is one of the most anticipated sequel of 2024 and it seems like it’s worth the wait.

Maddock Films dropped the trailer of ‘Stree 2’ ahead of its Independence Day Release. Sharing the trailer on her Instagram account, Shraddha wrote, “India’s most awaited gang is back to fight Chanderi ka naya aatank! Get ready for the biggest horror-comedy film of the year. Stree 2 Trailer Out Now. The legend returns this Independence Day, 15th August, 2024.”

About the trailer

Set up in the town of Chanderi, which was earlier haunted by ‘Stree’, the story picks up from where it ended in the first part. The town now faces another threat: Sarkata and Rajkummar Rao, Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana struggle to find a solution. The troubled villagers are forced to seek the help of Stree and Shraddha Kapoor joins them in the scary ride. The villagers who wrote ‘O Stree Kal Aana’ are seen changing the phrase to ‘O stree raksha karna’.

The film is a rollercoaster of laughter and chills. 'Sarkata’ monster adds to the spooky element while Rajkummar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi steal the show with their perfect dialogue delivery.

‘Stree 2’ is part of Maddock Films horror universe with films like ‘Stree’, ‘Roohi’, ‘Bhediya’ and ‘Munjya’. According to reports, Akshay Kumar will make a cameo appearance in the film. Tamannaah Bhatia is also part of the film.

Produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, the film is directed by Amar Kaushik. ‘Stree 2’ will hit the theatres on August 15 and clash with ‘Veda’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein’.
