Sonam Kapoor says Anil Kapoor is an 'extreme', reveals 'my mother controls him like a good Indian wife'

Sonam Kapoor never misses a chance to shower her father and veteran actor, Anil Kapoor, with love and praise, but it's her mother, Sunita Kapoor, who she credits for her family's balanced and healthy lifestyle. Speaking at an event, the Bollywood actor once again praised her doting dad, describing him as an 'extreme one‘ who doesn‘t smoke and drink. She also credited her mother for her father's youthful looks, saying she's a 'health-conscious' woman who controls him like a 'very good Indian wife‘. The actor also explained the lifestyle of three Kapoor Brothers: Anil, Boney and Sanjay.

'My Mother controls him'

Sonam Kapoor attended the launch of Dr Shiv K Saran's book 'Own Your Body: A Doctor's Life-saving Tips', where she let some family secrets out. Attributing her mother for her father's healthy lifestyle, Kapoor said that it's her mom Sunita who is 'health conscious‘ and keeps him in check. "Honestly, since I remember, my mom started the first personal training gym in Mumbai. This was many many years ago,“ she said, adding, "So it is my mother, who has been very very healthy from the very beginning. Very health conscious. My dad would love to indulge sometimes, but my mother kind of controls him like a very good Indian wife.“

'Good looking healthy men‘

The 'Neerja' star went on to share her father and uncles' drinking habits, revealing, "My father is an extreme one; he doesn't drink, smoke or doesn't do anything. Boney Chachu loves the good life, he loves to eat, and occasionally he likes to drink, and Sanjay Chachu is a moderate one, in between. But they all are good-looking healthy men."

What's next for Sonam Kapoor?

Sonam Kapoor went on a brief hiatus, post welcoming her first child Vayu with her husband Anand Ahuja. She made her comeback with the 2023 film 'Blind‘. The actor will soon start working on her next feature film, an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan's novel 'Battle for Bittora‘.
