‘Shehzada’ Twitter review: Kartik Aaryan, Kriti Sanon's family drama receives mixed response

Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Shehzada’ is finally in theatres. The Rohit Dhawan directorial is a remake of the 2020 Telugu action-comedy ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’. The film is centred around a middle-class boy Bantu, who comes to realize that he is the actual child of a millionaire industrialist. The movie, which also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Rajpal Yadav, Ronit Roy and Sachin Khedekar, marks Kartik’s debut as a producer.

Early reviews of the film have started pouring in on Twitter and the viewers have mixed reviews.
Majority of Twitter users have called the film a ‘perfect family entertainment’ and are impressed with Kriti and Kartik’s performance. However, few users found the film average.

Here’s a quick look at what the Twitterati has to say

A user said that Kartik Aaryan’s performance and swag as Bantu is the unique selling point of ‘Shehzada’. The user wrote, ‘Shehzada is a delightful watch, a perfect family entertainment. Go for it!! A winner!! Kartik Aaryan’s performance and swag is the USP, Kriti Sanon stunning! Rohit Dhawan full marks, congrats.’

Another user wrote that from cinematography to the action sequences, everything is top notch in the movie.

Rating the film 3/5, a user wrote that ‘Shehzada’ is a solid remake. It is a cocktail of comedy, romance and action.

However, a few netizens are unimpressed with the film.

A user said that the movie feels outdated & the conflicts in the story are non-existent. Apart from few jokes, rest fall flat and action is long drawn out & makes it boring

Another user wrote that ‘Shehzada’ is strictly ‘one time watch’ movie. The user added that those who haven’t watched ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ can enjoy it, but those who watched the real version can't survive this film. He said Kartik Aaryan’s performance is only a saviour point.
