'Shehzada' release date pushed as 'Pathaan' continues record-breaking run at the box office

Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer 'Shehzada' will now be released in theatres on February 17. The makers announced the news on Monday and said the decision to push the film's release was 'out of respect for Pathaan'.

Trade analyst Komal Nath tweeted, 'Postponed. #Shehzada to arrive on 17th February 2023! Out of respect for #Pathaan this #KartikAaryan #KritiSanon starrer directed by #RohitDhawan produced by #BhushanKumar #AlluAravind #AmanGill and #KartikAaryan , the family entertainer will now release on 17th February 2023!'

'Shehzada', directed by Rohit Dhawan, was earlier scheduled to release in theatres on February 10.

'Shehzada' is the Hindi remake of 2020 Telugu blockbuster 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo', starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde.

According to Yash Raj Films, Shah Rukh Khan’s 'Pathaan' is the 'highest opening weekend grosser' in the history of Hindi cinema with the earnings of Rs 542 crore in five days. The spy thriller, directed by Siddharth Anand, also features Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.
