Shahid Kapoor kisses Vijay Deverakonda, thanks him for 'Arjun Reddy': 'I have to give him a lot of love'

Both Kabir Singh and Arjun Reddy seemingly forgot Preeti when they met each other at the recent Prime Video event in Mumbai. In a sweet candid moment that has now gone viral, Shahid called on Vijay to thank him, saying there would have been Kabir Singh without Arjun Reddy. Shahid also went on to affectionately plant a kiss on Vijay's cheek, sending the entire crowd into a meltdown.

To Arjun Reddy, With Love: From Kabir Singh

Shahid Kapoor went all mushy when he saw Vijay Devreakonda on the stage. Resting his head on Vijay’s arms, he said, “I have to give him a lot of love. Naa Arjun Reddy bani hoti, naa Kabir Singh paida hota. Thank you, Vijay!” Not only did he thank Vijay Shahid also planted a kiss on his cheeks, instantly evoking a blush from the South star.

Shahid continued, “Now, that you are here and we all know about Arjun Reddy, I just want to ask you a simple question, ‘How has Arjun Reddy become a family man?'” To this, Vijay said, looking at his producer, “That’s all he came me! But I liked the script, so I picked it up.”

Shahid also praised Mrunal, who stars opposite in 'Family Star' and said, “The lovely Mrunal Thakur is here. We did a beautiful film together, Jersey, and had some amazing times working together. It’s a creative reunion right here today.”

For the unversed, Shahid Kapoor played the titular role in 'Kabir Singh,' the Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s 'Arjun Reddy'. Both films were directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
