Grabbing a Bollywood movie is every actor’s dream and the small screen has provided many talented artists the platform to prove their skills. A few of them later went on to make a name for themselves in the film industry.

Among them are Shah Rukh Khan, Vidya Balan, late actors Sushant Singh Rajput and Irrfan Khan, and Ayushmaan Khurrana.

Shah Rukh Khan
Popularly known as the Badshah of Bollywood, SRK made his acting debut with the TV show ‘Fauji’ in 1989 and went on to feature in several other shows. He made his Bollywood debut in 1992 with 'Deewana', co-starring Rishi Kapoor and Divya Bharti.
Some of his other best-known works include ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jaayenge’, ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’ and ‘Chakde India’.

Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan is known for featuring in women-centric films. She started her acting journey in with the popular TV show 'Hum Paanch'. The actor made her Bollywood debut with 'Parineeta', co-starring Saif Ali Khan. The film was a hit at the box office. Now, she is one of the most bankable stars of Bollywood.

Ayushmann Khurrana
Ayushmann Khurrana is indeed one of the most popular stars of Bollywood. He started his career as a radio jockey and hosted many reality shows. He was also part of shows too like 'Kayamath’. The actor made his Bollywood debut with ‘Vicky Donor’, co-starring Yami Gautam, and is now one of the most bankable stars of the industry.

Late Sushant Singh Rajput
Sushant Singh Rajput became a household name after he starred as Manav on the TV show ‘Pavitra Rishta’ opposite Ankita Lokhande. He ruled television industry for a while and then made his Bollywood debut with ‘Kai Po Che!’. He ruled the silver screen too as he delivered many hits like M.S. ‘Dhoni: The Untold Story’, ‘Kedarnath’ and ‘Chhichhore’.

Yami Gautam
Yami gained recognition after doing some commercials for ‘Glow & Lovely’ and made her television debut with ‘Chand Ke Paar Chalo’. The actor then made her Bollywood debut with 'Vicky Donor' opposite Ayushmaan Khurrana in 2012. The film was a box office hit and it made Yami Gautam one of the notable leading ladies of Bollywood.
