Seema Khan, Maheep Kapoor Covid +ve, team Kareena clarifies she was not irresponsible

After Kareena Kapoor Khan and her friend Amrita Arora tested positive for Covid-19, wife of Sohail Khan and designer Seema Khan and Sanjay Kapoor's wife Maheep Kapoor have also tested positive.

The four women are part of a close-knit circle of friends and were all at a dinner hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar at his Mumbai home last week. However, Karan Johar has tested negative for the novel coronavirus.

On Tuesday morning, BMC staff reached filmmaker Karan Johar’s residence to sanitise the premises. The Mumbai civic body had earlier sealed the buildings where Kareena and Amrita stay, as per the safety precautions laid down by the state government.

Meanwhile, refuting BMC's comments that Kareena had violated Covid norms and was seen attending several parties, Kareena Kapoor's spokesperson has now pointed at 'one person' at the party who seemed unwell and was coughing and should have been responsible enough not to attend the dinner'.

It was designer Seema Khan, the wife of Sohail Khan who took the Covid test first, BMC had said.

The spokesperson also said that it is not fair to put the blame on Kareena and say that she has been irresponsible and let her guards down.
