Sanjay Leela Bhansali ventures into music, launches his own label ‘Bhansali Music’

Known for bringing in larger than life visuals on big screens, now the filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is promising to bring the same magic to the realm of music. Adding another feather to his cap, the ace filmmaker has launched his own label ‘Bhansali music’.

Making the announcement on social media, Bhansali said, “Music brings me great joy and peace. It’s an integral part of my being. I am now launching my own music label “Bhansali Music.” He also emphasised on the aim of his label and said that he wishes the audience to experience the same joy and spiritual connect that he feels when he listens to or creates music.

While each of his films has been a visual masterpiece, music of Bhansali’s films has been an integral part of the overall cinema experience. With the new announcement, Bhansali would be delving into the music industry, collaborating with the talented music personalities for his films.
In his career of more than 25 years, Bhansali’s films like ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’, ‘Bajirao Mastani’, ‘Padmaavat’, ‘Ram Leela’ and ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ have given some of the most iconic tracks that are still fan favourites.

Another first for Bhansali

It would be another new beginning this year for the director, who is all set to make his OTT debut with ‘Heeramandi’. The show is set up against the backdrop of pre-independent India where courtesans had dominance in ‘Heeramandi’.

Besides ‘Heeramandi’, the filmmaker also has another magnum opus lined up. Touted as the biggest film of 2025, Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’ will bring a stellar cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal together. It would be second collaboration for both Ranbir and Alia with the filmmaker.
