Sania Mirza bids adieu to tennis: Farah Khan, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Mahesh Babu wish the 'champion'

Star tennis player Sania Mirza played her final tennis match at Hyderabad’s Lal Bahadur Stadium on Sunday, the same place where she played the first match of her career. Sania hosted a grand farewell party post the match, which was attended by several Bollywood stars. AR Rahman, Mahesh Babu, and his wife Namrata Shirodkar were among those who were present.

Mahesh shared a glimpse of the party on social media along with a heartfelt message for Sania. Sharing the picture, he wrote, 'What a journey! So so proud of you! @mirzasaniar.'

Farewell messages have been pouring in for the tennis star on social media. BFF Farah Khan shared a photo with Sania where they can be seen lying down on a bed and holding each other’s hands. Sharing the picture Farah wrote, 'So this is what champions do after retirement.. chill in bed with their best friend.'

Samantha Ruth Prabhu also extended her best wishes to Sania. Sharing a picture of Sania after a match on Instagram stories, she thanked the ‘queen of the court’.

Huma Qureshi and others have also shared farewell messages for Sania Mirza.
