Sandeep Vanga and Bhushan Kumar officially announce Animal sequel titled Animal Farm

Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's ‘Animal’ has been a commercial success, grossing over Rs 835.9 crore worldwide, despite facing criticism for alleged sexism and promoting toxic masculinity.
Now, Sandeep and producer Bhushan Kumar of T-Series have decided to turn ‘Animal’ into a franchise.

T-Series announced that Sandeep and Bhushan will collaborate on sequels titled ‘Animal Farm,’ ‘Prabhas’ Spirit,’ and an untitled film featuring Allu Arjun.

Sandeep Reddy Vanga praised producer Bhushan Kumar's support as crucial for the success of ‘Animal,’ citing freedom in creativity and song selection. He feels at home with T-Series due to this cooperation and wasn't concerned about the budget during production.

It's anticipated that Sandeep will collaborate with Ranbir Kapoor for the sequel of ‘Animal,’ where the plot suggests Aziz, a butcher, seeks revenge for his brother's death, undergoing plastic surgery to resemble Ranvijay (Ranbir Kapoor) but appears more menacing. The film's violence has been criticized, raising concerns about the sequel's tone.

On its 19th day of release, the movie made Rs 5 crore in India, according to industry tracker Sacnilk, taking its total domestic collections to Rs 522 crore. The movie likely to surpass Sunny Deol’s ‘Gadar 2’ (Rs 525 crore) on the all-time chart.

‘Animal’ opened to huge numbers and has since made nearly Rs 850 crore globally, which puts it in the number three spot for Indian movies this year, behind ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Jawan’. Both those blockbusters grossed over Rs 1000 crore in their theatrical runs.
