Salman Khan’s ex Somy Ali reveals why they broke up, says she learned a lot from his parents

Former actor Somy Ali, who was in a relationship with actor Salman Khan for several years in the 90s, has revealed the reason for their split.

In an interview with The Free Press Journal, Somy revealed that she began dating Salman when she was 17. She admitted that she was drawn to him after she watched ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ and travelled to India because she wanted to marry him.

Somy further shared that they were not happy together and eventually decided to part ways after almost a decade. She moved to Florida to carry on with her own life.

Somy, however, said that she learnt a lot from the ‘Dabangg’ star and his parents. She shared an interesting detail about the Khan clan and said that Salman's parents never used to lock their doors and anyone could come to their house and they would lovingly feed them.

Elaborating further, Somy also heaped praise on Salman Khan and his love for animals. She also commended him for the philanthropic work that he does through his foundation ‘Being Human’.
