‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’: Ranveer Singh shares how Ranbir Kapoor reviewed his performance

Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ is now in theatres. Ahead of its release, the lead stars were in Chandigarh to promote their film.

During an event, Ranveer revealed that he received words of appreciation from Alia’s husband-actor Ranbir Kapoor for the film which meant a lot to him.

He said, ‘The other day Ranbir saw our film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani with us, it was so lovely to hear from somebody whose craft I admire so much. He was like ‘It’s not that you’ve played Delhi guy before but there was absolutely no similarity’.Ranbir was really appreciative’
For the unversed, Ranveer had played a Delhi resident in his debut film ‘Band Baaja Baarat’ which was released in 2010.

The special premiere of the Karan Johar directorial was held in Mumbai on July 25th evening. Many celebrities including Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Malaika Arora, Neetu Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Mahesh Bhatt, Gauri Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan attended the screening and later took to Instagram Stories to review ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’.

The family entertainer marks Karan’s return as a director after seven years.
It also marks Ranveer and Alia’s reunion after Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’ (2019).

The movie also stars veteran actors Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi.
