‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani’: Shah Rukh Khan to launch teaser to celebrate 25 years of Karan Johar

Fans are eagerly waiting to see the teaser of Ranveer Singh-Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani’ which will be released on June 20.

Now, it is being reported that filmmaker superstar Shah Rukh Khan has come on board to digitally launch the teaser.

A source close to the development told Pinkvilla that when Karan reached out to SRK to be the dignitary for teaser launch, it was an instant yes from his end.

‘The team has devised a tight 40-day campaign for the film and are now all ready to unleash the digital world with their key assets,’ a source close to the development said.

Shah Rukh and director Karan Johar have been close friends for many years. Karan has directed SRK in multiple movies, including hits such as ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ and ‘My Name is Khan’.

King Khan even featured in a cameo in KJo's last directorial, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ is Karan's 7th directorial after ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’, ‘Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna’, ‘My Name Is Khan’, ‘Student Of The Year’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’.

The romantic drama marks Karan’s first collaboration with Ranveer and Dharmendra as a director and second with Alia.

‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ is releasing in cinema halls worldwide on July 28.
