The couple has now reacted to the big win, calling it the "stuff of dreams."

'Girls Will Be Girls' wins big

Keeping up the spirit of small films with big impact, 'Girls Will Be Girls' impressed at the ongoing Sundance Film Festival 2024. The film won the Audience Award in the World Dramatic Entry category and the Special Jury Award for lead actor Preeti Panigrahi. The film is written and directed by debutant Shuchi Talati.

About 'Girls Will Be Girls'

'Girls Will Be Girls' chronicles the journey of 16-year-old Mira, whose unfulfilled coming-of-age experiences are entwined with her mother's rebellious awakening. The film features debutants Preeti Panigrahi and Kesav Binoy Kiron in the lead roles, alongside multi-award winning Malayalam film actor Kani Kusruti and Jitin Gulati.
