Richa Chadha-Ali Fazal blessed with a baby girl: Our families are overjoyed with joy

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal are the newest celebrity parents on the block. The couple on Thursday announced the birth of their baby girl, a day after they posted enchanting pics from their maternity shoot. Their baby girl was born on Tuesday (June 16).

The couple said in a joint statement, “We are tickled pink with joy to announce the arrival of a healthy baby girl on 16.07.24! Our families are overjoyed and we thank our well-wishers for their love and blessings!”

Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal recently posed for a monochrome-themed maternity photoshoot. In the photos, Richa can be seen flaunting her heavily pregnant belly as both cradle the baby bump.

Sharing the pictures, Richa captioned, “May we bring forth a warrior of light, a child of compassion, empathy, healing and above all love. Ameen! (hamsa emoji).” She then added a Sanskrit verse translated as, “Aum! That is infinite, and this (universe) is infinite. The infinite proceeds from the infinite. (Then) taking the infinitude of the infinite (universe), It remains as the infinite alone. Aum! Peace! Peace! Peace!”

Concluding her post, Richa mentioned the reason behind turning the comment section and wrote, “Comments are off, because this is the most private thing I have posted (heart emoji).”

Richa and Ali got married under the Special Marriage Act in 2020 during the COVID-19-induced lockdown. The couple hosted a reception later in 2022 to celebrate their reunion.

On the acting front, Richa was last seen in 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar', while Ali recently returned with the third season of his popular show, 'Mirzapur'.
