'Rashmi Rocket' trailer out: Taapsee Pannu promises a power-packed performance

The trailer of 'Rashmi Rocket' is out and from the looks of it, Taapsee Pannu is all set to enthrall audiences with yet another power-packed performance.

In the film, Taapsee plays Rashmi, a sprinter from a small village in Gujarat's Rann of Kutch, who is all set to bring glory to the nation because of her exceptional talent, but is stopped in her tracks, as she fights for her identity, after a failed gender test.

Actor Priyanshu Painyuli plays Taapsee's husband in the sports drama directed by Akarsh Khurana. Taapsee gets full support from seasoned actors like Supriya Pathak, who plays her mother, and 'Pataal lok' actor Abhishek Banerjee, who plays her lawyer.

'Rashmi Rocket' is Taapsee Pannu's third sports drama after 'Soorma' (2018), in which she played the role of a hockey player and 'Saand Ki Aankh' (2019), where she played an octogenarian sharpshooter.

Over the past year or so, Taapsee took up a rigorous fitness regime for 'Rashmi Rocket', she gained weight and built the muscular physique of an athlete. 'Rashmi Rocket' will release on Zee5 on October 15.
