Ranveer Singh starrer 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar' to turn into a comic book series

Ranveer Singh's upcoming film 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar' is definitely one of the most awaited films of the year. The film, which is being produced by YRF, will feature Ranveer in a quirky and a never-before-seen avatar. The social comedy is sure to redefine the audience's perception of a ‘quintessential Bollywood hero’. The film is being directed by Divyang Thakkar.

According to a report in Mid-Day, the comic book series will be based on Ranveer Singh's quick-witted protagonist from the film. Following the release of the film, this comic book series will apparently be developed in Hindi and English.

According to the report, Aditya Chopra wants to immortalise the character of 'Jayeshbhai Jordaar,' who is super intelligent, quick-witted, and an unlikely underdog of a hero who everyone will root for. YRF reportedly intends to make Jayeshbhai into a comic book series as an initial step.

For the uninitiated, Ranveer will play the titular role of Jayeshbhai, a Gujarati man who will be seen fighting the patriarchal structure of the society. The film stars the southern sensation Shalini Pandey as the female lead. The movie is slated to release on May 13 this year.
