Ranbir Kapoor to gift new ₹250 cr bungalow to Raha Kapoor? Here’s what we know

Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Neetu Kapoor were recently spotted at their under-construction bungalow in Mumbai's Bandra. Now, if reports are to be believed, Ranbir will name the bungalow in his and Alia’s one-year-old daughter Raha Kapoor’s name. This could make Raha the youngest and wealthiest star kid in Bollywood.

As per a report by Bollywood Life, the new bungalow cost Ranbir and family ₹250 crore, and it is the 'most expensive' celebrity bungalow in Mumbai, beating Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat and Amitabh Bachchan’s Jalsa.

A source said, ‘Ranbir and Alia are both equally investing their hard-earned money to make their dream house. The house will cost more than ₹ 250 crore once it’s all done. And this will become the most expensive bungalow in the Mumbai area compared with Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat and Amitabh Bachchan’s Jalsa.’

The source added, ‘It is also said that Ranbir Kapoor, who is madly and deeply in love with his daughter Raha Kapoor, will name the bungalow in her name, and this will make the little one the richest star kid in the B-Town (Bollywood). Along with this massive bungalow, both Alia and Ranbir own four flats in the Bandra area and the worth is more than ₹60 crore.’

While gifts from relatives are tax-exempt upon receipt in India, future income or gains from these assets are subject to taxes, as per Live Mint.

Will Neetu Kapoor be the co-owner of the bungalow?

According to the report, Raha's grandmother Neetu Kapoor will co-own the bungalow as her late husband, actor Rishi Kapoor, designated her as half-owner of his properties. Neetu, financially secure herself, recently purchased a lavish ₹15 crore house in Bandra. It's speculated that once the bungalow is completed, the entire Kapoor family, including Neetu, will reside together under one roof. Alia and Ranbir currently reside with Raha at Vastu.
